Ghiffa is a typical village 6 km north of Verbania, on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. The town is known for its thermal and natural cures.

Located on a small promontory overlooking Lake Maggiore just north of Verbania is known for its mild climate and lush nature between lake and mountains and offers a fabulous view over a large stretch of lake.

Its very mild climate, rich spontaneous vegetation and multi-colored gardens surrounding numerous villas (including one built by the Russian prince Troubetzkoy) make this town a very pleasant place.

Ghiffa offers some dining options and a small selection of essential shops, such as a post office, a pharmacy and a bank. The village is a good starting point for hiking in the mountains.
